Sandi Williams

Sandi Williams grew up on a farm in Ashland and along the Columbia River in Astoria, Oregon. She earned her Associates of Arts in Elementary Education from Clatsop Community College, Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Oregon State University, Masters in Education Curriculum & Instruction from Portland State University, and Administration & Superintendent License from University of Oregon.

Sandi was an educator throughout Lincoln County School District in various positions for 36 years as elementary and middle school teacher, elementary school principal, and Director of Curriculum, Instruction, & Assessment. She earned district honors as Teacher of the Year (1990) and Administrator of the Year (2002). One highlight of her work as an educator was being presented, at the White House, a National Award for the Drug Prevention curriculum she developed. Sandi retired in 2010.

As resident of Lincoln County since 1972, Sandi has served on various local boards including Oregon Coast Council for the Arts (OCCA), Yaquina Bay Optimist, Newport Paper & Book Arts (NPBA), Lincoln City Regatta Playground, Newport Head Start, and Olalla Center for Children & Families. She is honored to serve on Oregon Coast Community’s (OCCC) Foundation Board. She is passionate about the role community colleges play in supporting students eager to learn and pursue personal goals but may be challenged by financial or other constraints.

Sandi lives in Toledo with her husband, Ron and dog, Maggie. She enjoys hiking, reading, art, gardening, traveling, classical guitar, and being with family and friends.
