League of Women Voters to Present Candidates Forum at OCCC’s Newport Campus

Event set for 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10

The League of Women Voters (LWV) will be holding a community candidates forum at Oregon Coast Community College’s Newport Campus on Thursday, October 10, 2024. The event will run from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., providing an excellent opportunity for local voters to hear directly from candidates ahead of the upcoming November elections. The forum is free and open to the public, and there is no need to pre-register.

This event offers community members the chance to engage with candidates on key local issues and gain valuable insights before casting their ballots. Candidates interested in participating should contact the League of Women Voters directly for more details about the forum.

With the general election fast approaching, the College encourages all eligible residents to make sure they are registered to vote. In Oregon, the voter registration deadline for the November 5 election is October 15, 2024. Voters can check their registration status or register online at the Oregon Secretary of State’s website.
