League of Women Voters to Host Lincoln County Commission Candidates Forum Oct. 8
The League of Women Voters will host an online forum featuring the four candidates seeking two contested seats on the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8.
Oregon Coast Community College will provide livestreaming support for the forum, which will be held entirely online. There will be no in-person viewing location. Members of the public may attend free of charge via Zoom.
Two of the three seats on the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners will be decided in the Nov. 3 general election. In the race for Position 1, incumbent Commissioner Casey Miller faces challenger Cathie Rigby. For Position 2, Cristen Don faces Joe Steere.
The third commission seat was decided in the May primary, when former Lincoln County Sheriff Curtis Landers won the race for Position 3.
The Oct. 8 forum will give voters an opportunity to hear directly from the four candidates seeking the two remaining commission seats before ballots are cast in the November general election.
