Associate of Science Transfer-Business
Interested in studying business or looking for a transfer degree?
Study business at OCCC and you could transfer to any Oregon public university with junior standing. Students can pursue a variety of business careers in Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Management, Human Resources, Entrepreneurship, and more.
The Associate of Science Transfer-Business (AST) degree is designed for students planning to transfer credits to an Oregon public university and seek entry into that institution’s Business program. Students completing the AST will meet the lower-division General Education requirements of an Oregon public university’s baccalaureate degree program. Students transferring will have junior status for registration purposes.
Admission to the Business School of an Oregon public university is not guaranteed upon completion of the AST degree. Some institutions have specific requirements for admission to their Business program. It is recommended that students contact the specific Oregon public university’s Business program early in the first term of their AST course work to be advised of admission requirements.

Why Study Business at OCCC?
Earning an Associate of Science Transfer in Business opens the door to a wide range of career opportunities and educational pathways. This degree is designed to prepare you for transfer into a bachelor’s program in fields such as business administration, accounting, finance, marketing, or management.
Even before transferring, the AST provides a strong foundation for entry-level roles in customer service, sales, office administration, and business support positions. These experiences can help you build practical skills and professional networks while continuing your education.
The AST in Business is intentionally aligned with the NACE Career Readiness Competencies, which employers identify as essential for workplace success. Through your courses, you will develop:
