Small Business Management Program Returns This Fall
Registration is now open for Lincoln County business owners ready to work ON their businesses, not just IN them.
Oregon Coast Community College’s Small Business Development Center is enrolling now for its popular Small Business Management (SBM) Program, beginning this October.
Running from October through June, the nine-month program combines convenient monthly class sessions with one-on-one business advising tailored to each participant’s business. Participants learn alongside a cohort of fellow local entrepreneurs while working with experts on practical strategies they can put to work immediately.
For decades, the SBM has helped hundreds of Lincoln County entrepreneurs like you to strengthen their businesses and prepare for the next stage of growth. The program is focused on action: giving owners the tools, perspective and support to step away from the day-to-day long enough to focus on where their business is going next.
This fall, business owners can choose from Traditional Small Business Management, covering topics including financial literacy, profitability, AI and digital marketing; Restaurant SBM, with an emphasis on menu pricing, food and labor costs, and marketing; and Retail SBM, featuring inventory management, merchandising, branding and digital marketing.
The value of the program goes beyond the classroom. Beachcrest Brewing Co. co-owner Amy White joined SBM while her business was growing and said she wanted advice from people who had “been further down the path” than she had, describing the experience as having “a world of value.”
Tuition assistance is available this year, and interested business owners are encouraged to reach out soon as space is limited.
