CCB License Prep & Exam … in One!
This class will prepare students to qualify for and successfully pass the Construction Contractors Board (CCB) exam required for contractor certification in Oregon. The class is taught by a certified CCB education provider and fulfills the CCB pre-exam educational requirement as stipulated by Oregon regulations. The course is unique in that participants will learn the material and take the test over the same two days. There is no textbook to purchase. Please bring a sack lunch each day.

Non-Traditional Funding
Wondering if your business or business idea is “bankable”? In this workshop, led by Oregon Coast SBDC Director Gregory Price, you’ll learn about different sources of capital for pre-venture and existing businesses. Participants will explore what lenders are looking for when qualifying loans, and how business owners can best position themselves for funding. The workshop will also explain the pros and cons of different sources of capital. Participants will learn about non-traditional funding models, including how and when to best leverage them, as well as discover what resources exist locally to support business owners seeking to access capital.

Coming this summer!
Oregon Small Business Summit: Newport
Presented by Oregon Department of Administrative Services
This event is designed to empower small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs by connecting them with the resources and information needed to start, grow, and strengthen their businesses. Registration is free, space is limited. Lunch will be provided.
Attendees will participate in a morning of business-related workshops, aimed at helping small businesses build stronger relationships with community-oriented partners. Participants will also learn about the resources and opportunities available locally through City, State, Federal and Higher Education partners, including how to be certified to compete for contracts with state and federal agencies. Additionally, four Oregon Construction Contractor’s Board (CCB) continuing education credits will be offered to those attending the event.
