Art & Fashion Collective
The Art & Fashion Collective is a place for student artists to socialize and create in a supportive and relaxed environment. Painting & sketching, sewing & tailoring, collage & scrapbooking, knitting & crochet… bring your passion projects with you to the AFC and show other creatives what you are working on. Learn and gain inspiration from others and share your skills and tips. AFC hosts and end of term event to display student projects.

Dungeons & Dragons Club
Dungeons & Dragons beginners and seasoned players are welcome. Attendees can learn more about the game each week and build up their characters. Players can drop in and out as the club focuses on one-shot campaigns – stories that conclude in one session and do not require a long term commitment.

Game Club
The Game Club is a casual hangout space for students to connect and have fun. The club has access to a variety of board games, card games, and a Nintendo Switch. Game Club favorites include Super Smash Bros., Splendor, Coup, Catan, and many others. The club also has access to the Library’s collection of games.

Media Production Club
Media Production Club is on hiatus until Fall 2024, but we are seeking new recruits!
Are you interested in creative multimedia projects, like podcasts or Youtube videos? The Media Production Club meets for collaboration and sharing of video and audio creations. The club is encouraged to use the college’s Multimedia Studios, which have podcast mics, audio and lighting equipment, a green screen, and much more available for student use.

Student Organizations
Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society
Phi Theta Kappa is an international honor society specifically for community college students. At OCCCC the clubs work on service and community projects in tandem. PTK students are asked to support the work of the other groups at the school.
In addition to social and service projects, this organization makes over $90 million of scholarship money available each year; much of which is limited to members. During fall term, scholarships are opened for those planning to transfer to a four-year college or university in the following fall term.
Each spring, a similar application is opened for students who will be returning to a community college in the following fall. An invitation to join the honor society will be emailed to eligible students at the start of each term.

Waves
Waves is an annual literary and art journal published each spring. The journal features writings and artwork contributed by Oregon Coast Community College students, faculty, and staff. Please email your writing, photos, or photos of your art to the editors each spring.
The annual Waves Publication Party is held each June in the Patrick O’Connor Community Room at OCCC’s Central County Campus in Newport. Students and community members are welcome to attend.

- Find a club adviser (staff/faculty).
- Complete a club application & adviser agreement.
- Submit both forms for approval to the Associated Student Government.
