The maintenance, repair, and operation of various maritime equipment and systems. Their job involves working with a wide range of maritime technologies, including navigational instruments, communication systems, radar systems, sonar equipment, and other electronic and mechanical components on ships and vessels. Industrial Safety, Marine Electrical Circuits, Motors and Controls,  Pneumatics/Hydraulics, Diesel Engines, Outboard Motors, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Blueprint Reading, CAD, Orientation to Maritime Careers, Introduction to Ship Systems, Marine Maintenance Mechanics, Welding Some equipment overlap with Mechatronics

Rolling Application Cycle: EDA “Economic Adjustment Assistance” Program Grant; requires match; must be quick startup; area must be distressed.  Average award $650k.   12 – 48 months for Construction Projects; 12 – 24 Months for Non-Construction Projects.
