OCCC Hosts Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration Today

NEWPORT, Ore. – Oregon Coast Community College invites students, staff, and community members to its Third Annual Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration today, Wednesday, October 15, at the Newport Campus Community Room (#140).

Guests are welcome to enjoy delicious homemade tamales and empanadas from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., while learning about the rich traditions of Hispanic culture. A lively game of Lotería—a popular traditional game—will take place from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

This annual event celebrates the vibrant contributions of the Hispanic and Latino community on the Oregon Coast and beyond. Admission is free and all are welcome.
