This week, the Oregon Coast Community College (OCCC) Small Business Development Center (SBDC) unveiled an exciting lineup of workshops designed to support the local small business community. Registration for these courses is now open, offering valuable opportunities for entrepreneurs and business owners to enhance their skills and knowledge.
CCB License Prep & Test
This comprehensive course prepares participants to qualify for and successfully pass the Construction Contractors Board (CCB) exam, a requirement for contractor certification in Oregon. Taught by certified CCB education provider Kelliane Parker, the class fulfills the CCB pre-exam educational requirement. Participants will learn the material and take the exam over two days, with no additional textbooks required.

Connect 2 Oregon: Discover How to Win Government Contracts
This event educates local small businesses on contracting with government agencies. Participants will learn about the economic opportunities provided by public agency contracts and receive guidance from multiple state and federal organizations. The event also offers four Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for Construction Contractors Board education requirements.

QuickBooks Online Workshops
These workshops, led by instructor Natalie Bronson, offer various levels of QuickBooks Online training, from beginner to intermediate. Participants will learn essential skills for managing their business finances effectively.

Business Law Workshop
Attorney Joshua Zantello will cover crucial legal aspects of small business operations, including business structure, risk management, and intellectual property.

Leveraging Short-Form Video for Small Business
Instructor Julia Ryan will teach participants how to use short-form video content on platforms like TikTok and Instagram Reels to enhance brand visibility and engagement. Participants will also learn video editing with Canva.
