Description Skills Funding
Supports those interested in a career in the construction trades but have little or no experience or have barriers to employment (i.e., previous incarceration).  Pre-apprenticeships help participants learn about careers in the construction trades, build credentials, improve math skills, and provide assistance for obtaining supplies and equipment. Multi Craft Core Curriculum (MC3): Construction Industry Awareness, Construction Trades Awareness, Construction Health and Safety(CPR/First Aid, OSHA 10, Women’s Health and Safety), Tools and Materials, Construction Math, Heritage of the American Worker, Diversity in the Construction Industry, Blueprint Reading, Green Construction, Financial Literacy. 2024 (Awarded): $299,561; FRO R4 BOLI Apprenticeship Grant.
