Pre-Apprenticeship Program Launches in September
Posters are up in high schools and at employment offices across Lincoln County, promoting the “Pre-Apprenticeship for Construction Trades,” or PACT, Program.
The program, developed by OCCC in collaboration with local union representatives, Northwest Oregon Works, the Lincoln County School District, and others, is designed to get participants ready to be competitive for apprenticeships with local unions. The program will launch Sept. 6, 2024, and run through Jan. 31, 2025 — a schedule set to align with the local high school semester calendar, though adults are welcome to participate as well.
