Helping Business Shine: How the SBDC Brought Success to Local Cleaning Company
Ms. Tiffany Davis started her business, A Clean Getaway, in Lincoln County in 2018. Her business is a premiere cleaner of commercial, residential and vacation rentals.
She knew from the beginning that building a 5-star business could only happen with 5-star employees. This has come with building a culture of appreciation for her team. Between annual campouts, bonuses, recognitions and shown appreciation, her employees give their all because they feel deeply appreciated.
Her growth as a leader has come from learning to recognize the need to delegate and hire people with different strengths, great advice she has taken to heart. With the help of her Small Business Advisor, Arlene Soto, she was able identify a need to have her financials reviewed by an accountant, saving her from costly errors.
“Arlene has helped me through the Small Business Management program and how to put it to action in my business,” said Davis, “leading to a 40% sales growth for the last two years.”
The Small Business Development Center at OCCC provides no-cost business advising to any business in Lincoln County, as well as to anyone even considering one day launching their own business.
