Oregon Coast Community College to Close on Monday, November 11, in Observance of Veterans Day

Oregon Coast Community College (OCCC) will be closed on Monday, November 11, in honor of Veterans Day, a national holiday dedicated to recognizing and honoring the service and sacrifices of U.S. military veterans. The College will resume normal operations on Tuesday, November 12. Students with Monday classes scheduled for the fall term are encouraged to reach out to their instructors with any questions regarding their coursework.

Veterans Day, originally known as Armistice Day, commemorates the end of World War I on November 11, 1918. In 1954, the holiday was renamed Veterans Day in the United States to honor all veterans who have served in the military. This day serves as a reminder of the courage and dedication demonstrated by the men and women who have served across generations.
