Disaster Preparedness Class Returns for WinterDecember 3, 2020
OCCC Community Education lineup features personal finance course
The ‘Catch the Wave’ publication, featuring OCCC’s non-credit course lineup, was published on Dec. 3. For Winter Term, the publication will not be printed and mailed, and rather will be distributed online only.
Inside are a variety of classes touching on everything from training to take a Real Estate Broker’s License test, to discovering the best beers on the coast.
Along with these offerings is a valuable class aimed at teaching participants how to get out of debt, stop living paycheck to paycheck, and stop losing sleep over financial concerns.
Mind Over Money
Are you tired of living paycheck to paycheck? Good financial habits can be the difference between barely making ends meet and building real financial security. This course provides an excellent foundation for young adults but is useful for anyone at any stage of life!
This class will help you understand how to take control of your money, step by step. You will learn:
- How to create and use a monthly budget
- Strategies for smart spending and saving
- How to manage debt and build credit
- Tips for those major purchases
- Insurance – what kinds, why, how much
